Privacy policy.
Nico’s Vault uses personal information only where it is needed to operate the store, fulfil orders, provide customer service, meet legal obligations and protect the business and customers from misuse.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
Nico’s Vault is the controller for personal data processed for the operation of this store.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use the store, this may include your name, email address, billing and shipping information, order details, payment status, communications with Nico’s Vault, and limited technical information needed for website security and operation.
3. Why we process it
- to process and deliver orders and provide order support;
- to respond to enquiries, returns, withdrawals and complaints;
- to meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations;
- to prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and
- to operate and maintain the website and checkout.
4. Payments and service providers
Payments are processed by Stripe. Nico’s Vault does not receive or store your full payment-card number. The store also relies on service providers such as Cloudflare for website hosting/security, Google services for inventory and order administration, delivery carriers for fulfilment, and an email provider for communications.
These providers process information only for the services they provide and under their own applicable privacy and security terms.
5. Cookies and local storage
The storefront uses functional browser storage to keep your shopping bag and temporary checkout state. These functions are necessary for the store to work. Stripe may use necessary technologies for secure payment and fraud prevention.
Nico’s Vault does not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies by default. If optional analytics or marketing tools are added later, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before those tools are enabled.
6. How long information is kept
Information is retained only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including customer service, dispute handling and statutory accounting or tax retention obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
8. Security and changes
Nico’s Vault uses HTTPS and limits access to store administration and payment information. This policy may be updated when the store, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page.
